Baby got back light - Oceanside, California child photographer
As I dive into this photography passion of mine, I discover how much more there is to learn! Some days I just get overwhelmed by how much I DON'T know! Fortunately, I try to take it one day at a time and focus my energy on only one element.
Today's project = back light
I've always struggled with back lighting situations and have left several photo shoots feeling frustrated. So, I did some research and took my camera to the field. Literally. Luckily my two little minions are always in tow and so happy to perform for the camera (yeah RIGHT!). Fortunately they were both really quite obliging, all things considering.
Enjoy!
For any photo enthusiasts out there, here's my photo recipe:
Lens - 50 mm 1.4
f/stop - 1.4 (always! I love it there!)
shutter speed - 1000 - 1600
ISO - 100
I used spot metering mode, but more heavily relied on my histogram/screen shot to decide my shutter speed.
Editing - bare minimum. Slight color saturation. No sharpening! (I like the soft look for these)
